The Colombian player Luis Diaz could reportedly be sold by Liverpool this summer, subject to a stipulation.
Diaz completed his £37 million transfer from Portuguese team Porto to Anfield back in January 2022.
The Colombian made an immediate impression on the crowd and soon won their favour.
The 27-year-old has made 82 appearances for the Reds in all competitions thus far, tallying 21 goals.
But Diaz’s knee injury from the previous season caused him to lose form. The forward had to deal with a significant off-field problem at the beginning of the current season following the kidnapping of his parents in Colombia.
Diaz has been playing football like he did in his early Liverpool days in recent weeks.
There have been rumours that Liverpool may offload the winger during the summer transfer window, despite his recent upswing in performance.
The Sun said that Liverpool’s top goal for the summer will be to sign new contracts with players like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Clubs in Spain are rumoured to be interested in purchasing Diaz from Liverpool if Salah chooses to prolong his stay at Anfield.
The source also added that Liverpool are aware that negotiations with their greatest talents cannot continue until they have a new sporting director and a replacement for Jurgen Klopp established.
As of right now, Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Frank, Ruben Amorim, and Ange Postecoglou have all been mentioned as possible alternatives for Klopp by Liverpool.
Additionally, according to Transfer Specialist Fabrizio Romano, the Reds will make an effort to entice former sporting director Michael Edwards back to the team.
This Saturday afternoon, Liverpool will return to Premier League action when they visit the City Ground to play Nottingham Forest.
