Diaz encountered a groin issue during Liverpool’s tҺrilling 4-3 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp expressed concern about the ιnjury after the game, stating that Diaz felt discomfort in his groin, and he hopes it is not a serious problem.
Alongside Diaz, Darwin also experienced a hamstring issue, while Cody Gakpo twisted his ankle.
Fortunately, Diaz’s condition doesn’t appear to be worsening, and it is hoped that he will remain in good health throughout the international break.
Colombia, his national team, has friendly matches scheduled in Europe. They will face Spain on Friday at West Ham United’s London Stadium and Romania in Madrid on Tuesday.
Liverpool’s next fixture is against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield on Sunday, March 31st. Currently occupying the second spot in the Premier League table with 64 points, the Reds are on par with league leaders Arsenal.
