The Sporting CP boss is among the Reds’ top targets to replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season after Xabi Alonso announced that he would be staying with Bayer Leverkusen for at least one more year. According to reports Liverpool have agreed personal terms as the want him to resume role once the season comes to an end. This will see Liverpool change formation way different from Jurgen Klopp.

Fulham’s standout player, Joao Palhinha, has voiced his belief that Ruben Amorim is destined to become Liverpool’s next head coach.

Amid speculation surrounding Jurgen Klopp’s potential successor at the end of the season, with Xabi Alonso opting to remain at Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting CP’s manager, Amorim, has emerged as a prime candidate for the Reds.

Amorim’s stock has soared in recent years, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most promising coaches.

While securing his services won’t come cheap, with reports suggesting Liverpool may need to invest €15 million, the potential payoff is significant.

Addressing the swirling rumors, Amorim affirmed his current commitment to Sporting but hinted at potential developments in the near future, stating, “we’ll soon see what happens.”

Among those convinced of Amorim’s imminent move to Anfield is his former player, Joao Palhinha, who offered glowing praise for his ex-boss. Palhinha highlighted Amorim’s exceptional coaching abilities, emphasizing his trajectory from Braga onwards and his adeptness in fostering strong player relationships.

Palhinha expressed confidence in Amorim’s departure from Portugal in the near future, noting that despite ample opportunities, Amorim’s ambitions extend beyond his homeland. While Amorim aims to secure further success with Sporting, his aspirations ultimately lie in his own hands.

Transitioning from coaching a prestigious Portuguese club to overseeing Liverpool entails a significant escalation in pressure, with expectations from fans, the club, and the global audience. Palhinha suggested that given Amorim’s trajectory, it’s only a matter of time before he assumes the reins at Liverpool, further underscoring the inevitability of such a move.
