General Hospital Update: Friday, August 4 – Cassadine Island Curveballs, Romantic Reunion and Mother-Daughter Bonding

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, August 4, indicates that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will make it back home from Chechnya, so he’ll share a romantic reunion with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and quiz her about the Metro Court pool drama.

Since the cops also considered the possibility that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was the target, Valentin will bring that up.

However, Anna’s instincts seem to be telling her that she was indeed the one meant to take a hit that day instead of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

As Laura Collins (Genie Francis) gets ready for the next phase of her journey with Kevin Collins (Genie Francis), she’ll feel like they can tackle any Cassadine Island curveballs they face as a team.

At GH, Ava Jerome (Maura West) will urge Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) to chill out about Sonny and his newfound knowledge.

Although Ava indeed told Sonny the truth about Nikolas Cassadine (last played by Adam Huss), Ava may think it’ll help them in the long run.

Nevertheless, there’ll be some lingering concerns about Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and what he might’ve witnessed, so Ava and Austin will have more to bicker about.

It turns out Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will interrupt Austin and Ava’s argument, so they’ll clam up as she seeks updates on Nikolas.

Ava might tell Elizabeth that she doesn’t expect to hear from Nikolas again and urge Liz not to hold her breath on him reaching out.

Next, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will express excitement during a conversation with Nurse Deanna Sirtis (Dioni Michelle Collins), so that may involve the positive developments in his romance with Liz.

Once Finn meets up with Elizabeth later, they’ll have a deep conversation and most likely establish that they’re still on the same page about pursuing their shared spark.

At Charlie’s Pub, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) will mention that Trish (Trish Ramish) said Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was bragging on her recently.

Nina may confirm that’s true since she’s come to care about Kristina and thinks the foundation has great potential.

When it comes to the youth center that Kristina’s trying to get off the ground, Nina will seek the latest news and vow to do everything she can to pitch in.

It turns out Nina will also visit her daughter, so look for Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) to grow a little closer to her as a result.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will voice some concerns and will perhaps feel like Nina’s boundary issues are bubbling up again.

Willow will actually be thankful that Nina showed up when she did and perhaps saved her from dwelling on Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) Ferncliff nightmare.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina will provide a nice distraction for Willow, but Michael may worry about Willow getting hurt as they actually start to bond.
