Virgil van Dijk has cast doubt on his future with Liverpool, expressing uncertainty about being part of the post-Jürgen Klopp era.

The shоck announcement of Klopp’s departure has raised concerns about the team’s future, including potential departures such as Mohamed Salah and Van Dijk, who has 18 months left on his contract.

Van Dijk acknowledges the challenging task faced by Liverpool’s owners in replacing Klopp and admits their decision will impact his own future. When asked if he sees himself in the next Liverpool era, he responds with uncertainty, stating, “Well, I don’t know.” Van Dijk emphasizes the need for a decision soon, considering the significant changes that will follow Klopp’s departure.

While Xabi Alonso is a frontrunner to succeed Klopp, Van Dijk avoids prolonged discussions on the matter. He underlines his focus on the current season’s objectives, expressing hope for success.

Despite the managerial uncertainty, Liverpool’s recent 5-2 victory over Norwich at Anfield is seen as a positive step. Van Dijk reassures that discussions about the future will happen at the end of the season. He remаins committed to Klopp’s era and awaits more clarity on the club’s direction.
