Kante open to transfer

N’Golo Kante has hinted he would be open to moving back to Europe in the summer transfer window.

Kante has been a star for France at Euro 2024 and, despite being paid handsomely by Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, he could move back in the near future.

“I don’t think my European career is over,” the 33-year-old said. “I would love to come back. I had a really good year in Saudi Arabia. It’s a different type of football and experience, but I’m really happy to be back with France. It’s beautiful.”

Man Utd urged to sign ex-Chelsea star

Manchester United have been urged to move for Christian Pulisic this summer after missing out on Michael Olise.

Olise is set to swap Crystal Palace for Bayern Munich, but an AI bot has given them a list of alternatives, including former Chelsea star Pulisic and PSG winger Ousmane Dembele. Lee Astley, head of news at FairBettingSites, said: “With Michael Olise choosing a move to Bayern Munich this summer, Manchester United will have to look elsewhere for a new winger.

“Ousmane Dembele makes for an interesting target, with the French star on United’s wish list for some time now. Kingsley Coman is another French winger who could make a move to the Premier League, with Olise likely to limit his game time in Munich.

“Christian Pulisic seems like more of a long shot transfer for United having enjoyed success at Chelsea, but AI believes there is a chance the American could make a Premier League return.”

Bayern want Everton’s Onana

Bayern Munich are interested in Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Sky Sports Germany.

Onana joined Everton from Lille for £33million in the summer of 2022 but is expected to leave this summer amid widespread interest. Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked, but Bayern have now emerged as a possible destination.

Everton value the Belgium international at £50m.

Endo urges Liverpool to sign a No.6

Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo has urged Arne Slot to sign a new No.6 – less than 12 months after he was signed to play the same role by Jurgen Klopp.

The Japan international, 31, was a left-field signing by the Reds last summer, joining from VfB Stuttgart in a £16.2m switch. Endo was targeted by Klopp after Liverpool missed out on deals for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Endo made 43 appearances in total last season and earned rave reviews for his performances after finding his feet in the Premier League. However, the veteran would like to see Liverpool bolster their options in midfield by signing another No.6 – even if that means his game time suffers as a result.

“I don’t care about those reports, but I also think it would be better to get the number six midfielder,” he quipped to ABEMA Sports Time, as quoted by MSN.

Barca not interested in Sancho deal

Manchester United have offered Jadon Sancho to Barcelona, but their valuation is too much for the Spanish club.

United are desperate to sell Sancho after sticking with Erik ten Hag, who fell out with the English winger and sent him on loan to Borussia Dortmund in January.

Catalan outlet SPORT says that United have set a €60million (£50m) asking price, but Barcelona are unwilling to pay that fee. The club will have a job trying to convince any side to sign him permanently, rather than take him on loan.

West Ham to announce Foderingham

Wes Foderingham will soon be announced as a West Ham player after completing a medical.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper has signed a two-year contract with the Hammers after being released by Sheffield United after they were relegated from the Premier League.

DONE DEAL: Young signs new Everton deal

Ashley Young has signed a one-year contract extension with Everton.

The 38-year-old’s versatility is an asset for Sean Dyche, who handed him 34 appearances last season and has chosen to keep him on.

“It was a no-brainer for me to sign again,” Young told evertontv. “I spoke to the manager before the end of the season. He asked me what I wanted to do, if I wanted to stay, and straight away I said yes because I loved my time here. Kevin [Thelwell] was the same.”

Everton close in on Ndiaye

Everton are pushing to sign Illiman Ndiaye from Marseille.

The former Sheffield United attacking midfielder, 24, has agreed a five-year deal with Everton. He will cost £15.6million plus another £1.25m in add-ons, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Chelsea star to leave on loan

Alfie Gilchrist is set to leave Chelsea on a season-long loan, according to The Athletic.

Gilchrist made 11 Premier League appearances last season under Mauricio Pochettino, but the club thinks he will benefit from gaining experience elsewhere. Italian side Como, who are managed by former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, are one of the interested clubs following their promotion to Serie A.

Liverpool star Morton attracting interest

Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton is wanted by RB Leipzig this summer after impressing on loan at Hull.

Leipzig, Sevilla, Eintracht Frankfurt and Feyenoord are among his suitors, with Liverpool valuing him at £20million, according to The Times.

Morton wants regular first-team football after loans at Hull and Blackburn. His future will be decided once he reports for duty under new manager Arne Slot.

Arteta leading Arsenal’s Merino pursuit

Mikel Arteta personally called Mikel Merino to sell the idea of joining Arsenal, according to reports in Spain.

Merino’s Real Sociedad contract expires next summer and he could be available for as little as £21million. The 28-year-old midfielder is currently busy playing for Spain at Euro 2024, but has already spoken with Arteta, who is keen to get in there before Barcelona.

DONE DEAL: Perraud joins Real Betis

Southampton defender Romain Perraud has joined Real Betis on a five-year contract.

Perraud made 60 appearances for the Saints but spent last season on loan at Nice. Writing on Twitter, he said: “It was a huge honour to have fought for the badge during my time here. Always tried to give the best of myself without cheating despite ups and downs.

“But after all, the institution is above everything. This wonderful club is back where it belongs. You deserve to continue to experience great emotions. With the greatest of respect, thank you for everything. All the best.”

Greenwood holds the key for Man Utd

The sale of Mason Greenwood holds the key to Manchester United’s transfer window, with the 22-year-old striker their most valuable asset who is considered expendable.

Greenwood excelled on loan at Getafe last season and is 100 per cent sure to be sold, having been told he has no future at United. A handful of Italian clubs are interested – and Lazio have made a formal approach – but United will hold out to get their £40million valuation.

That fee is crucial, because United can only reach a net spend of around £50m this summer due to profit and sustainability considerations. Jadon Sancho is another player who could boost their budget, having played well on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal face competition for a striker

Serhou Guirassy and Jonathan David are two strikers being linked with a move to Arsenal.

Guirassy, 28, is poised to leave Stuttgart after a fantastic season in which he scored 28 Bundesliga goals. He is wanted by Borussia Dortmund and could be available for just £20million due to his contractual status.

Lille’s David is attracting interest from Saudi Arabian side Al-Alhi, while Chelsea have also enquired about the £30m-rated Canada international.

DONE DEAL: Goalkeeper signs new Arsenal contract

Arsenal have confirmed that third-choice goalkeeper Karl Hein has signed a new contract.

The Estonia international, who’s made one first-team appearance for the Gunners, was on course to become a free agent at the end of this month but he’s chosen to stay by putting pen to paper on a new deal.

“I’m delighted to extend my contract and continue my journey in this amazing club after six years,” Hein, 22, said.

“Hopefully, there will be even more good memories and successes for the club.”

The length of his new contract is unknown.

Liverpool star wants exit

Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg wants to sign for Mainz permanently after spending last season on loan with the Bundesliga side.

Van den Berg, 22, shone in the German top-flight last season, making 35 appearances acros all competitions as Mainz avoided relegation.

Now the Dutchman wants to remain at the club, despite having two years left on his Liverpool contract.

Mainz’s sporting director, Christian Heidel, told German sports magazine Kicker: The only one who has made a decision is Sepp.

“He definitely wants to stay in Mainz. He has said that very clearly in public.”

Man Utd receive Zirkzee boost

Manchester United could get a free run at signing Bolgona striker Joshua Zirkzee – as AC Milan have their eye on another target.

The Daily Mail claim that Milan are interested in hijacking Newcastle’s move for Everton marksman Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

United are reportedly preparing to trigger Zirkzee’s £34million release clause, having helped Bologna finish in the Champions League places last season.
