Jurgen Klopp, the former Liverpool manager, appears to be enjoying himself after leaving Anfield, as he was recently photographed visiting the Mallorca Tennis Championships.
Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015 and went on to win every major club football award during his eight-and-a-half-year stint.
Liverpool are also hiring Ruben Peeters as their new lead physical performance coach as expected, while German Fabian Otte will leave his role with the United States national team after the upcoming Copa America tournament in the USA in order to become the Reds’ head of first-team goalkeeper coaching.
Slot also confirmed that himself and Hughes were still looking to fill more positions in the club’s backroom team this summer, with a whole host of staff following Klopp’s exit in the likes of Pep Lijnders, Peter Krawietz, Vitor Matos, John Achterberg, Ray Haughan, Jack Robinson, Andreas Kornmayer and Andreas Schlumberger.
Earlier this year, the German revealed that he would depart Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season due to “running out of energy.”
“It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy,” Klopp explained when announcing his decision.
“I have no difficulty now; obviously, I had known for a long time that I would have to declare it at some point, but I am completely OK now.
“I’m aware that I can’t do the task repeatedly.
“After the years we had together and after all the time we spent together and after all the things we went through together, the respect grew for you, the love grew for you and the least I owe you is the truth – and that is the truth.”
Jurgen Klopp appears to be genuinely enjoying himself after breaking away from the demands of preparation for another gruelling Premier League season.
On Saturday, the 57-year-old was photographed at the Mallorca Tennis Championships, wearing a Germany shirt ahead of their Euro 2024 match against Denmark, with his wife Ulla Sandrock.
He was observed having a talk with Austrian player Sebastian Ofner.
Klopp was caught on camera smiling and laughing, prompting social media users to notice his calm and joyful demeanour.
