A former Liverpool player who won seven championships with the club has made a bold career transition to become an evangelical pastor.
The Reds’ 82-goal scorer was consecrated as a minister at a church he created in his birthplace of Maceio on Sunday, June 30.
In an Instagram post alongside his wife, Larissa, the 32-year-old forward described the wedding as memorable and unforgettable’.
They went on to say, “From our encounter with Christ, a longing burns in our hearts: that people may know this love that has reached us.”
