A Liverpool player was absent from training ahead of the important match against Atalanta

Liverpool is on the verge of seeing the return of several important players from injuries, which is a positive development.

However, there is a cause for concern looming as they prepare for their Europa League quarter-final first leg against Atalanta.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Wataru Endo, a key player for Liverpool, was conspicuously absent from training on Tuesday.

This absence could be linked to his recent substitution during the 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

It is worth noting that Endo had also missed the home victory over Sheffield United due to an injury, raising concerns about the possibility of a recurring problem.

Endo’s role in the midfield has been pivotal, especially in supporting Alexis Mac Allister’s attacking prowess. Therefore, the potential absence of Endo is causing worry for Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp. This concern is amplified by the fact that Liverpool is navigating through a congested schedule, where every player’s availability is crucial.

Nevertheless, there is a glimmer of hope as it is speculated that Endo’s absence from training might have been a precautionary measure. Fans and the coaching staff are eagerly anticipating updates, which might be provided during Klopp’s upcoming press conference.

Despite the positive news of Curtis Jones’s return and Stefan Bajcetic’s active participation in team training, the possible absence of Endo would still be a significant blow to Liverpool. Endo’s absence could disrupt the team’s balance and affect their performance, highlighting his indispensable role within the squad.

In conclusion, while Liverpool is optimistic about the return of some players, the uncertainty surrounding Endo’s availability adds a layer of concern and anticipation as they gear up for a crucial European clash.
