Slot learned the identity of his first opponent on Tuesday, when the Premier League fixture list for 2024-25 was announced.
On the opening weekend, the Reds will travel to newly promoted Ipswich Town before facing Brentford, Nottingham Forest, and Bournemouth at home. During that run, he will meet his compatriot Erik ten Hag and Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Slot’s first Merseyside Derby is scheduled for early December. Liverpool faces Manchester City for the first time in November, and the season concludes with matches against Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal in three of their final five games.
Before the league season begins, the manager will seek to get his ideas and philosophy across during a critical pre-season.
