Liverpool is reportedly prepared to part ways with Luis Diaz if Barcelona makes a substantial offer for the Colombian winger this summer.

According to Colombian outlet El Heraldo (via Centregoals), the Reds are open to selling Diaz for a fee ranging between €120 to €145 million.

While Diaz has made a positive impression this season, his future at Anfield appears uncertain.

If sold within this price range, Diaz could become Liverpool’s most expensive departure, potentially surpassing the €135 million Barcelona paid for Philippe Coutinho in January 2018.

Since joining Jurgen Klopp’s side from FC Porto in January 2022 for €47 million, Diaz has contributed 11 goals and five assists in 38 appearances across various competitions. La Liga giants Barcelona have expressed interest in the Colombian international, with his agent informing them of the valuation in the range of €120 to €145 million.

Despite receiving criticism for missing two significant opportunities in Liverpool’s recent 1-1 draw against Manchester City, Diaz earned praise from Klopp for his overall performance. Klopp highlighted Diaz’s ability to trouble City defenders and hailed his work rate on the field.

While Diaz is known for his relentless work ethic and ability to unsettle defenders with his skill, questions have been raised about his productivity in front of goal. However, the prospect of a move to Barcelona this summer could materialize if the Catalan club acts on Liverpool’s apparent willingness to negotiate.

Barcelona’s pursuit of Diaz may face challenges due to their financial difficulties. Nonetheless, Diaz’s admiration for the club, as expressed by his father in November, could facilitate a potential transfer. His father revealed Diaz’s dream of playing for Barcelona, acknowledging his loyalty to the club.

In the context of Barcelona’s squad, Diaz could serve as a replacement for Ousmane Dembele, who departed for Paris Saint-Germain last summer in a €50 million deal.
