Joe Gomez has been at Liverpool for almost 9 years yet has yet to score a single goal

On the We Are Liverpool podcast, the English defender expressed his desire to score his first goal for “The Kop.”

Joe Gomez has yet to score in his eight-and-a-half seasons with Liverpool.

He moved to Anfield from Charlton Athletic during the summer transfer window of 2015. Fans, teammates, and coach Jurgen Klopp are all keen to see the 1997-born defender get on the scoresheet.

During the We Are Liverpool podcast debate, Joe Gomez says that he wants to experience the sensation of scoring a goal.

He said, “Does it come from me, though? “I have to believe in that.” “I think the most important thing is that, like Pete (Krawietz), I’ve never loved being involved in corner situations, so that clearly plays a factor. Maybe I’ll have a better chance.

“But it’s strange because that has never been obvious during the last eight years. Even coach Jurgen Klopp joked that he would give my wife money if I scored – it’s definitely worth a shot,” the English defender concluded.
