Mbappe caused outrage when he changed his shirt, smiled, and took photos with fans even though the team was losing

Mbappe stunned many by not wearing a mask on the pitch during the Euro 2024 semi-final match against Spain last night. The attacker made his imprint with a superb pass to Kolo Muani, who headed the ball into the Spanish goal to open the scoring.

Mbappe enraged many fans by exchanging clothes with the Spanish player between the two halves (screenshot).

However, Spain swiftly took a 2-1 lead in the first half, thanks to goals from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo. That was the match’s final score. With this result, La Roja qualified for the Euro 2024 final.

After the first half, the camera captured Mbappe holding a Spain team shirt in his hand. This indicates that he traded clothes with a player from the opposite club.

Mbappe’s antics sparked criticism on social media. Many people viewed it as unacceptable behaviour. Changing clothes after halftime in such a tense match can decrease the players’ fighting spirit. Such acts should occur after the match has concluded.

Here are some of the comments made against Mbappe on Twitter:

“Mbappe switched clothes with his opponent at halftime. Roy Keane would be outraged if he saw this.

“Why was Mbappe able to swap shirts with the Spanish player at halftime?”.

Mbappe disappointed many at Euro 2024.
