Mohamed Salah has just over a year left on his Liverpool contract and has the chance to win his second Premier League title with the Reds second in the table right now
Mohamed Salah admitted Liverpool must secure their second Premier League title to cement their legacy as a great team.
The Reds missed the chance to go back to the top of the table after being held to a 2-2 draw at Manchester United on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side now sit second, level on points with leaders Arsenal and one ahead of Manchester City in the race for the title, which is anticipated to go down to the wire.

Liverpool have lifted the title just once under Jurgen Klopp during the 2019/20 campaign and have come agonisingly close on two different occasions. But with Klopp leaving the club at the end of the season, this is the last chance the Reds have to win the title once again with him in charge.
And when asked whether Liverpool need another title to be remembered as a great Premier League team, Salah was straight to the point and believes it’s “necessary” to win one more.
“Absolutely,” he told Sky Sports before the draw at Old Trafford. “We won just one Premier League, one Champions League and other cups, but I think it’s necessary to win another one. I believe that we can win this one, we just need to focus on each game, but I think it’s necessary to win another title.
“It’s necessary to win one more, we won the league just one time so it would be great to win a second time. Two times [we] won the Premier League and one Champions League, I think it’s necessary for our legacy here at the club to win the Premier League for the second time.”
Legacy is a word used widely throughout the footballing world, but what Klopp has achieved will not be dismantled if the Reds do not win the title in May. The same can be said about Salah, who has broken record after record during his time at Anfield since moving from Roma in 2017.

Salah won the Premier League Golden Boot with 32 goals in 36 appearances during his first season on Merseyside before sharing the award for striking 22 times in his second campaign. He has since continued his remarkable goalscoring record throughout his time at the Reds.
In fact, Salah is now into the top 10 for most goals in Premier League history on 154 in 243 matches. The 31-year-old has an outstanding return for a winger but will be eager to end his journey at the Reds with another title. Liverpool are also still in the Europa League, having won the Carabao Cup in February.
