Premier League clubs have been hugely hampered by injuries throughout the 2023-24 season but fortune has shone on some clubs more than others during the campaign
Injuries can make or break a Premier League side’s season.
Should a club go through the campaign without any major issues, they could potentially sustain a challenge for the title throughout the year.
However, a series of major problems can see an entire club derailed, whether they are fighting for silverware or battling to avoid relegation.
As it stands, an eye-watering 127 players are sidelined among the current Premier League sides. With 12 games of the season remaining, they will be hoping to return sooner rather than later.
With plenty to still play for, take a look at how many injuries each club have suffered from. You can also find out how many days that would be worth to each team:
According to BBC Sport, Newcastle have had the worst luck when it comes to injuries this term. Eddie Howe’s side have had key stars such as Callum Wilson and Nick Pope restricted to the sidelines throughout the season.
That has seen the Magpies suffer from 29 separate issues this term, with a total of 1,333 days lost. Manchester United are then second in the list with 28 of their own issues, with players missing 979 days this term – Lisandro Martinez and Mason Mount no doubt adding to their problems.
Sitting just below the Red Devils in both the Premier League and injury tables, Brighton are having a fantastic season despite their problems. The Seagulls have suffered 28 injuries – their stars missing 1,093 days.

Moving down the list, there are a series of clubs who have suffered 27 issues. That includes Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Despite Jurgen Klopp bemoaning his side’s fortune, when it comes to those sides, it is Chelsea who have had the worst luck. Their stars have missed a total of 1,091 days of action, while Liverpool’s have only been out for 865.
Further down, Luton and Aston Villa have both sustained 24 injuries respectively. Struggling Sheffield United and Burnley have both had 23 – albeit the Blades having missed 1,081 days in total compared to the Clarets’ 778.
Next in the list is Everton with 22 problems, while Brentford have only had 20 injuries throughout the campaign but at an eye-watering rate of 1,159 days missed. Fortune has however shone on Manchester City with just 19 injuries this term at only 565 days out of action, albeit they have missed key stars Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne for large swaths of the campaign.
