If you didn’t know it before the weekend, then you do now: The title race is ON!
Liverpool and Manchester City’s titanic tussle at Anfield on Sunday ultimately ended all square and leaves their three-way battle with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal finely poised ahead of the final 10 matches of this Premier League season.
The draw on Merseyside, coupled with Kai Havertz’s late winner handing the Gunners all three points against Brentford on Saturday, means the trio are separated by just one point at the top of the table; leaders Arsenal and Liverpool both having taken 64 points from 28 games, with Man City on 63 from 28.
And fast approaching on the horizon at the end of the month is the mouthwatering clash between City and Arsenal at the Etihad, where the pendulum will swing once again.
It is all finely balanced and even the bookmakers’ aren’t as certain as they once were. City, so long this term odds on favourites, are now odds against at 5/4, with Liverpool and Arsenal both widely available at around 5/2.
