Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is a £75 million target for Real Madrid.
The England full-back, 25, has little over a year left on his current contract at Liverpool.
Real Madrid is understood to be interested in Trent Alexander-Arnold.
And as Carlo Ancelotti’s team continues to rebuild, Spanish giants Real Madrid are set to put the Reds’ commitment to keep their homegrown star to the test.
Liverpool has no intention to sell Alexander-Arnold this summer.
They are still hopeful of signing him to another long-term contract.
However, if negotiations fail, Real are unlikely to be alone in attempting to persuade the Merseysiders to cash in.
And the Reds understand they risk losing the ball-playing right-back for nothing next season.
One of Liverpool’s new executives’ top tasks this summer will be to reach an agreement with Alexander-Arnold on fresh terms.
The biggest issue for Michael Edwards, who will return to Anfield as football CEO in the summer, and incoming sporting director Richard Hughes is to find a replacement for outgoing manager Jurgen Klopp.
However, Mo Salah and captain Virgil van Dijk are in the same contractual position as Alexander-Arnold.

And this could result in a summer of huge upheaval for the title contenders.
All three are currently among the club’s highest earners, but they will want better terms and a suitable replacement for Klopp.
There will also be interest in goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.
Due to Alisson’s injury, the Irishman, 25, has started each of Liverpool’s past five Premier League games and appeared in their Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea.
However, he has only made 43 appearances since joining Liverpool in 2019, and he could be tempted to leave after some impressive performances.
Alexander-Arnold played 21 Premier League games this season, but is presently injured.
