The captain of the Netherlands, Virgil van Dijk, has commented on what referee Felix Zwayer did immediately following the game.

The Dutch were angry that he didn’t give them a corner when the ball hit John Stones last and felt like it should have.

He said, “I’m at a loss for words.” To give up so late is awful. It is really painful. I don’t know what to say because I have to stand here. It is really painful.
