Virgil van Dijk Overwhelmed by Center Stage Statue in Amsterdam

Virgil van Dijk’s Wax Figure Unveiled at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam.

The wax figure of Virgil van Dijk, the captain of the Dutch national team and central defender at FC Liverpool, is set to be showcased at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam from 16 October 2021.

Despite his hectic training schedule, Van Dijk managed to spare some time at the end of 2019 for a posing session with the sculptors at Madame Tussauds.

During the session, numerous measurements were taken, and countless photos were captured to create an accurate representation of the football star.

Originally intended to be launched for the European Championship 2020, the figure’s debut was delayed due to production challenges caused by the Cоvid-19 pаndemic.

Finally, the impressive wax figure of Van Dijk will be exhibited in the sports department of Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. Joining him in the sports section are other notable figures like Lionel Messi, skater Sven Kramer, and kickboxer Rico Verhoeven.
